Meet Marcus, a playful and loving pup with a heart as big as his energy. Marcus, a 1-year-old labrador retriever mix, has a handsome black and white coat, with an adorable tuxedo and front paw socks! At 51 lbs., he is considered a medium-sized pup (25 - 50 lbs.).Marcus was rescued by our partner shelter in Texas. Despite a tough start—he and his sister were abandoned on a country road to fend for themselves—Marcus has a bright spirit. He is full of affection, always ready for a game or a cuddle, and his resilience is truly inspiring. As a medium energy, he would enjoy plenty of playtime alongside some good couch cuddles. Marcus gets along great with other dogs and with human kiddos, and he will even befriend a cat. Marcus is working hard on his house and leash training, which are currently in progress. He has already mastered his crate training. Consistency and patience will go a long way towards helping Marcus learn and become the best pup he can be! Marcus would love to join a family who will commit the time required to provide him with proper training and plenty of socialization. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Marcus was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Marcus’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Marcus’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Marcus’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
