Apollo Creed is a 1-year-old labrador retriever mix with a handsome black and white coat, adorably mismatched eyes, and the happiest smile! At 67 lbs., he is considered a large pup (>60 lbs.).Apollo Creed was surrendered to our partner shelter in Texas because his owner was moving. He was on the urgent list (soon to be euthanized) before making his way to Dog Star. Now he is very ready to find a forever home and family to love! As a medium-energy pup, Apollo Creed would love to spend time with his family enjoying a variety of activities from hikes to couch cuddles. He gets along well with other dogs and with human kiddos too! We are not sure how he feels about cats. In short, he would make a great addition to any family!Apollo Creed is working hard on his house, crate, and leash training, which are all in progress. It is important to remember that accidents can happen while adjusting to a new home environment. Apollo Creed thrives on structure and routine, and setting up a consistent routine will help him adjust to his new home. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Apollo Creed was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Apollo Creed’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Apollo Creed’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Apollo Creed’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
