About this Dog
The brightest star in the night sky is Sirius, the perfect name for this gorgeous Great Dane/mixed breed boy with a heart as big as the universe and a shining personality just waiting for his forever home and family. Sirius is following the stars north from our southern rescue partner to bring light and love to everyone who is lucky enough to meet him. This big boy is currently 76 pounds and most likely grow a bit more. He will remain a large sized (61-90 pounds) dog when he is fully grown. He is at his happiest when he can meet anyone who will pet him and give him plenty of time and attention. Sirius has never met a canine companion that he did not enjoy and is great with children. He is also great with cats. Sirius is working on his house and crate training. He is well behaved on a leash so long as positive and firm guidance continues to be part of his training. Rescue dogs can have accidents as they become accustomed to a new home, new family, and new routines. Sirius is not crate trained at this time and if crate training is planned, Sirius needs a crate that is big enough for him to stand and turn around in as well as lie down comfortably. Crates should be cozy, happy places for dogs to hang out. Crates must never be used for punishment. Adopt this gentle giant who is searching for a place to shine his light and you, and he will be the center of attention as Sirius spreads his loving glow and laughter wherever he is. The adoption fee for Sirius is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.

Adopt Sirius and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sirius's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Sirius's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Sirius, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sirius's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sirius was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sirius’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Sirius’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sirius’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
