About this Dog
From Current Family: "Bailey was rescued from the streets of Texas, where she was found caring for her puppies. She was brought to Colorado, and after seeing her puppies quickly adopted, I decided to give her a forever home. She brought so much comfort and love into my life after I lost a beloved dog.Bailey is incredibly loving, loyal, and attentive. She’s a gentle soul who has come a long way from her difficult past. She was likely abused and arrived very shy, especially around men, baseball hats, belts, and sticks. While she still has occasional moments of fear—like retreating to another room when voices are raised—she has made remarkable progress. Despite everything, she has never shown aggression. She gets along well with other dogs and often takes on a nurturing, "mom" role with younger or rowdy pups. Bailey thrives with daily walks and has even learned to walk off-leash beside us. She's intelligent, eager to please, and responds well to training, especially when given love and attention to help build her confidence. It breaks my heart to let her go, as I never imagined I’d be in this position. However, I’ve recently met the person I plan to spend my retirement with, and we are preparing for a life of travel and sailing—adventures that Bailey, due to her size, unfortunately cannot join. She deserves a stable, loving home where she can continue to blossom. I’m confident she will make a wonderful companion for someone who can give her the time and care she needs."This dog is not currently in the rescue's care. We will connect you with her owner if you are interested.
