Meet Rico! He is the sweetest little boy. A big time lover boy. 4 years old, house trained and crate trained and up to date health wise. Single dog household. He is highly affectionate and loves everybody he meets and greets everyone with the biggest wiggles. Angelic behavior in the house. Dog reactive (for now) and high prey drive. We are currently working with a trainer on his reactivity and he is improving every day. Rico loves his walks and hanging at the park. He is amazing in the car. He loves to look out the windows, and enjoys laying around the yard and sun bathing. He knows sit, down, place, stay, heel, come, plus learning more tricks everyday. He is a fast learner and listens well. A big people pleaser. He loves to just do whatever you are doing. He smiles at us every morning when he wakes up. He would do amazing with an experienced owner, or somebody ready/willing to learn. He is truly worth it. He will be your best friend forever. Rico is a part of our Keep Them Home program.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Rico's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Rico was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Rico’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Rico’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Rico’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
