I’m a laid-back dog with a heart full of love and a touch of wanderlust. I will happily snuggle up beside you on the couch as we watch a movie. But don’t let my calm demeanor fool you—I’ve got a true adventurer’s soul! I love outdoor activities like hiking, walking, and camping, and I’ll be your loyal sidekick around the campfire, always ready to relax and enjoy the simple things in life. Whether we’re out exploring nature or just chilling at home, I’m your perfect buddy. I get along great with people and dogs but I might take a little time to warm up to new faces, but once I do, I’ll show you a love as big as the mountains I hike. I’m told I can be mouthy but that’s likely due to my insecure puppyness and not so great past and I will grow out of it once I feel safe. I would greatly benefit from a basic manners class. His shelter paperwork say he’s 3 y/o, but we think he’s closer to 1 y/o. He’s 27# neutered Corgi/Dachshund mix maybe with a tinge of terrier who’s utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. DJ is potty trained and crate trained but will likely need a refresher course in his new home with a new routine. DJ would benefit from another friendly dog in the home. He loves to play. He may chase cats and a respectful child 10+ may be considered. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and DJ was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, DJ’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the DJ’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, DJ’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
