About this Dog
Strider is a 4 year old neutered male who loves his humans. He was raised with kids, cats, parrots and other dogs. However, he needs to be the only dog in the household long term. Unfortunately, he must be separated from my other dogs in my home and it is damaging his quality of life. He deserves family life full time. He is UTD on vaccines, raised with bringing him everywhere meeting all kinds of people. He is leash trained, potty trained, house trained and knows come, sit, down, stay and leave it. He does not give warning signs when he wants to make his point to other dogs and he means business. He is incredibly gentle when playing with kids but is still a big boy who doesn't always know his size. He is a dominant dog who needs clear and consistent boundaries set or he can quickly be pushy. He would crawl into your skin for a cuddle if he could. A yard is a must with 6' fencing. He is 120lbs of jump out if it's low. He does not respect dog gates when you aren't actively watching him. It does not take him much to go through one or over one and he knows it. He mainly just wants to be with his people and then will be calm. He currently has to stay outside in a run but he is truly an indoor couch potato who doesn't want to be outside unless his people are outside.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Strider was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Strider’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Strider’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Strider’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
