About this Dog
We are reaching out with a heavy heart as we seek a new, adult-only home for our cherished 3-year-old male Akita, Tucker. Tucker is a remarkable companion who has brought immense joy into our lives with his playful and affectionate nature. He thrives on catch games, enjoys leisurely walks, and cherishes his indoor and outdoor playtime. Despite Tucker's loving demeanor, he has shown discomfort around young children, leading to a few incidents where he has snapped when feeling anxious or territorial over his belongings. With a new baby at home, and following a recent incident, we've made the difficult decision to find Tucker a home better suited to his needs—preferably with adults or families with older children, where he can be the center of attention without the unpredictability that comes with young kids. Tucker has some allergies that we've been managing with bi-weekly shots and daily allergy medication. This care is crucial to prevent any discomfort or infections, and we're committed to ensuring his new family is equipped to continue this routine. We're hopeful that his allergy treatment will not be a lifelong necessity and are willing to support his transition to his new home. We're not looking for just any home for Tucker; we're seeking a place where he will be deeply loved, understood, and integrated as a valued family member. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Tucker's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Tucker was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Tucker’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
