About this Dog
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Meet Pops — The Snuggly, Fun-Loving Adventure Buddy If you’ve been dreaming of a dog who can keep up on outdoor adventures but also melt into you on the couch afterward, Pops might just be your perfect match. This 7-year-old, 48-pound Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Beagle mix has the heart of an athlete and the soul of a cuddler. Pops is house-trained, great about letting you know when he needs to go out, and a total angel when left alone. He’s happiest spending his days with his people—whether that’s playing with toys, going for a hike, or snoozing under the covers. He’s kept pace on two-hour hikes and 45-minute runs, and still has plenty of energy for a round of zoomies in the evening. Car rides? He’s all in. Snuggle sessions? He’s even more in. He’s a social guy who loves other dogs, especially in off-leash settings like the dog park, though on leash he can be a bit reactive toward certain dogs, people, or wheeled objects. Pops is strong and enthusiastic, so continued leash training will be important—he’s already making progress with cues like “easy” and “wait,” and with consistency (and maybe a trainer’s help), he’ll only get better. At home, Pops is calm, affectionate, and an expert snuggler—he’ll curl up beside you in bed, burrow under the blankets, and rest his head on you like the sweetest little spoon. He’s also currently being treated for a layered skin allergy, and his adopter will need to keep up with his vet-recommended care. Pops’ ideal home is an active, dog-savvy household where he’ll get daily exercise, structure, and lots of cuddle time. A calm, friendly dog sibling could be a great match for him, too. If you’re ready for a best friend who can hike, run, play, and then snuggle into your arms at the end of the day, Pops is waiting to meet you. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls.

Adopt Pops #1 and Receive Pops #1's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Pops #1's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Pops #1's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Pops #1, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Pops #1's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Pops #1 was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Pops #1’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Pops #1’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Pops #1’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
