About this Dog
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Violet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Meet Violet – The Pocket-Sized Joy Machine! Breed: Chihuahua | Age: 1 year | Weight: 8.5 lbs Color: Dipped in sugar (white & brown) House-trained: You bet—she politely waits by the door like a lady. Energy Level: Olympic-level zoomies champion with a PhD in snuggles. If you've ever wanted a dog who acts like your best friend, workout buddy, and living teddy bear all rolled into one—Violet is your girl. She's a one-year-old Chihuahua who might be small in size, but she's bursting with love, playfulness, and charm. Violet is sweet as honey, bouncy as a bunny, and cuddly as your favorite blanket. She plays with toys twice her size, prances like a tiny deer when excited, and will dramatically flop over for belly rubs at the slightest invitation. Got kids? She’ll happily join the fun. Other dogs? She’s ready to make new BFFs. A cat? She’s trying—but your cat might not be ready for her level of enthusiasm. This smart cookie already knows commands like stay, off, and no, and is 95% house-trained (and working on leash manners—she’s a fast learner, especially if treats or praise are involved!). While crate training isn’t her forte just yet, Violet handles being home alone like a pro—with only a little “miss you” whimper before settling down. Her ideal forever home? A lively one! She thrives with people around, especially those who love walks, playtime, and puppy kisses. A home with children or other dogs would be a dream. She’s playful, loyal, and full of love—and just needs someone to share it all with. Violet was lovingly surrendered, and it shows—she knows her manners, respects furniture, and chews only what she's supposed to. Now all she needs is you. Adopt Violet and turn your daily routine into a love story with four paws, floppy ears, and a heart full of joy. If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls.

Adopt Violet #4 and Receive Violet #4's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Violet #4's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Violet #4's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Violet #4, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Violet #4's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Violet #4 was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Violet #4’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Violet #4’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Violet #4’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
