About this Dog
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). Meet Paizley – The Pocket-Sized Playtime Princess! Breed: Chihuahua Mix | Age: ~10 months | Weight: 14 lbs | Color: Tan Paizley is a joyful little pup with a big personality packed into a petite 14-pound frame. She’s playful, smart, and loves a good cuddle session once she’s gotten to know you. Found as a stray, Paizley is still learning the ropes of indoor life, but she’s already mastered her routine, is doing great with house training, and sleeps soundly through the night in her kennel. This happy girl is a fetch champion (she actually brings the toy back!) and is always up for a walk or a game with her toys. She’s motivated by treats, affection, and squeaky things — basically, she’s ready to be your fun-sized adventure buddy. While Paizley enjoys playing with other dogs, she can get a little jealous when it comes to attention and would do best as your one-and-only love or in a home that’s dog-savvy and ready to set healthy boundaries. She’s best suited for an active household with older children or adults who can provide her with consistency, structure, and lots of playtime. A yard to run in? That’s her dream! Paizley is young, sweet, and full of potential — she just needs the right home to help her keep blossoming. Could that be you? If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $425. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can't accept calls.

Adopt Paizley #1 and Receive Paizley #1's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Paizley #1's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Paizley #1's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Paizley #1, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Paizley #1's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Paizley #1 was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Paizley #1’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Paizley #1’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Paizley #1’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
