About this Cat
Geppetto was being cared for as a community cat for several years, meaning he lived outside. He was finally rescued and brought in to the rescue and we realized he was a sweet tame cat that just wanted to live inside a loving home, off the streets. Geppetto has Stomatitis, a condition that causes inflammation in the mouth that can be very painful. He had all his teeth removed, which should help significantly, although he is currently not out of the woods yet. We are still trying various things to improve the stomatitis. Geppetto is becoming more social as time goes on and enjoys being rubbed and loved on. He is not the energetic type, he seems more content watching everyone else. Geppetto is FIV+ which means his immune system is not as strong and could be the reason the stomatitis is taking longer to heal than expected. FIV+ cats can still live long and healthy lives with proper care, including prompt treatment of secondary infections and regular veterinary check-ups. foster: chcl Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Adopt Geppetto and Receive Geppetto's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Geppetto's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Geppetto's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Geppetto, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Geppetto's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Geppetto was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Geppetto’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Geppetto’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Geppetto’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
