To ensure Lorelai finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) . Lorelai – 2-Year-Old Australian Cattle Dog with a Heart Full of Cuddles Meet Lorelai, a 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog who’s equal parts adventurer, cuddlebug, and loyal best friend. At about 40 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized sidekick for all of life’s adventures—and the snuggles afterward. Lorelai is a sweet, playful girl who loves exploring the world with her people. She’ll happily chase a tennis ball (for a little while—then she’d rather curl up next to you). Loud noises or big crowds can make her feel a bit nervous, but with patience and gentle reassurance, she settles right down. She’s already crate-trained (though she may whine a bit when you leave—she just loves you that much) and is almost fully house-trained, with just the occasional accident as she continues learning. This smart cookie is working on her leash manners—she can pull a bit if she feels overwhelmed, but she’s making great progress. When meeting new people, especially tall men, she may bark at first, but with calm introductions and a few head scratches, she warms right up. Favorite things: Small stuffed toys to carry around Tennis balls to chase (for a few rounds!) Kong toys stuffed with treats Long walks in quieter spots ALL the love and affection Lorelai is a gentle soul who absolutely thrives on connection. She’s happiest when she feels secure and included, so a home that offers lots of affection and consistent reassurance is a must. She would likely enjoy having a friendly dog companion to help boost her confidence. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Lorelai was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Lorelai’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Lorelai’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Lorelai’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
