Meet Kurtis – the tiny bundle with a huge personality. Kurtis and his siblings had a rough start—they were left in a box on a busy highway right outside a veterinary office. Thankfully, the quick-thinking office staff spotted them and contacted the rescue before things got worse. Talk about a close call! As for Kurtis’s breed? That’s a mystery! We’re pretty sure there’s some chihuahua in there, mixed with a whole lot of adorable and a splash of mischief. At about half the size of the big puppies his age, Kurtis is proof that good things come in small, bouncy packages. He’s a total kid magnet—always ready to play, chase, and jump (sometimes on the trampoline, because why not?). Don’t let his size fool you; Kurtis packs all the energy and enthusiasm of a dog twice his size. If you’re looking for a pint-sized pal who’s equal parts silly and sweet, Kurtis is your guy. He’s ready to leave his box behind and jump straight into your heart (and maybe onto your lap).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kurtis was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kurtis’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kurtis’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kurtis’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
