Meet Zee – mom, mentor, snuggle expert, and honorary Labrador. Zee was found on a mountain road, barefoot, pregnant, and clearly not impressed with how her day was going. She was so scared she had to be trapped (we don’t blame her—strangers and mountain roads? Hard pass). But fast-forward, and now she’s a total lovebug who’s absolutely crushing the mom game. She’s the kind of mom who literally showed her puppies how to play with a ball. Not just tossed it their way—walked over, pawed it around, and basically said, “Okay kids, here’s how it’s done.” She even taught them to climb the stairs up to the bed like tiny, fuzzy mountaineers. When you pick her up, she melts into your neck like a weighted blanket with fur. And despite being, well, not a Lab, she’s fully convinced she is one—splashing joyfully in the dog pool like she’s training for a retriever Olympics. At just around 1.5 years old, Zee is a young mom with an old soul, a goofy streak, and next-level cuddling skills. She’s been through a lot, but now she’s ready to live her best life—ideally on your couch, possibly in your lap, and definitely in your heart.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Zee was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Zee’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Zee’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Zee’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
