River The Ultimate Husky Snugglebug River is a sweet, snuggly girl who absolutely lives for attention. This four-year-old Alaskan Husky has quickly stolen the hearts of every volunteer at the shelter â many say she's the most affectionate Husky they've ever met! River has a signature full-body lean and will gently back her fluffy butt right into you for pets and love.Though she's incredibly gentle and easy to walk, River is a bit head-shy and can be a little anxious, likely due to the shelter environment, but she responds well to kind words and gentle corrections.She's potty trained, quiet, and never reactive on walks. She's generally calm around other dogs in passing but may prefer being the only pup at home. When meeting another dog one-on-one, River made it clear she wanted the spotlight, pushing her way in for affection when she felt left out.River adores people and thrives on companionship. She'll happily tell you (with a little dramatic flair!) if you're giving love to another dog instead of her. Her love for pets and cuddles knows no bounds.She might do best in a quieter home with older, dog-savvy kids and would be a dream companion for someone looking for a loving, loyal shadow who just wants to be close.Oh, and squirrels? For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *RIVER was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *RIVER’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *RIVER’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *RIVER’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
