About this Dog
Courtesy Post – Meet Jax! NOTE JAX IS NOT AT THE SHELTER Jax is a 5-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix with a big heart, playful spirit, and a truly one-of-a-kind look (yes, those are two different colored eyes!). His family is making the difficult decision to rehome him due to changes in their household—particularly the needs of their senior dog, who is no longer able to keep up with Jax’s energy. After a long and loving search for a new home, they’re now asking for help to find the right match. Jax is: Neutered Potty trained Good with kids and dogs (but would thrive in a home where he’s the only pet) Friendly with visitors once he’s had a moment to settle Protective of his home—he’ll bark to alert you if someone approaches Jax has lived happily both indoors and outdoors, and loves walks, fetch, and cuddling up with his humans. He’s also a bit of a goofball—his favorite pastime? Suckling on stuffed animals while lounging on his bed! He’s also a natural in front of the camera and loves striking a pose for photos. While Jax has previously lived with another dog and young children, his current owner recommends a home without other pets or small kids so he can truly shine and get the one-on-one attention he craves. A note on behavior: Jax can get excited around new people, especially if they’re nervous around dogs. But once he’s had a sniff and knows you’re a friend, he’ll settle right in. He also likes to jump along fences when other animals are nearby—but he’s quiet when the neighborhood is. Jax has been a beloved companion for the past three years, and his family is heartbroken to let him go, but hopeful he’ll find a home where he can be cherished and given the attention he deserves. This is a courtesy post to help him find a loving new home.

Adopt Jax and Receive Jax's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Jax's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Jax's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Jax, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Jax's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jax was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jax’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jax’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jax’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
