Meet REXY, a stunning six-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle heart and a curious spirit. This 74-pound sweetheart walks so well on a leash, exploring her surroundings, calmly passing by some turkeys, friendly to all the people she meets, and responding well to gentle corrections. Treat-motivated and sits on command, She has shown great composure in the shelter, walking by other dogs in their kennels without any reaction. She is an absolute gem and would make a fantastic companion for anyone who appreciates the loyalty and beauty of German Shepherds.REXY has been waiting in the shelter since October 2024 for someone to appreciate a pup aged to perfection like a fine wine.She enjoys the breeze on her face while riding in the car, appreciates nap-time cuddles, and LOVES to chomp at water from a hose on hot days. Volunteers who have taken her on day trips say that REXY is a happy girl; playful without requiring a ton of activity to be satisfied. She has hip dysplasia (common in the German Shepherd breed) that holds her back from strenuous activities â but she still enjoys a leisurely neighborhood stroll!She has not displayed any stranger danger and is OK with men and women alike. At 6-years-old, REXY would thrive in a chill home environment where she can be a couch cuddler to her special person, and a slow walking buddy. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and *REXY was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, *REXY’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the *REXY’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, *REXY’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
