And just like that, we have six adorable puppies who are 8 weeks old. Meet our three girls and three boys! These sweet and beautiful babies are currently in foster homes, and thriving. They're all gaining weight and growing like weeds.Let us introduce you to Trixie! She's wearing bright daisy flowered collar to help us identify her. After a car ride from the shelter and baths for all six puppies, Trixie headed to her foster home, where she settled in with two of our alumni dogs and two cats. Both Lucy and Bella adore her, and Trixie slept soundly on her first night in her crate, which is right next to theirs. They have already shown Trixie how to use the doggie door, and Bella has taken on the role of cuddler and groomer for this little princess. Trixie also got to try out the kiddie pool, which they love on hot days. Trixie is discovering watching garbage trucks and chewing on yummy carrots for settling time to ease her achey teeth. All the pups think shoe laces are just divine to play with and share toys easily. They are agile, fearless and already have the shepherd stance. Trixie's foster mom loves training and her foster pups head to their forever homes with great household manners and basic skills like solid sits, by me, wait, down, stay and well socialized with the neighbors which include toddlers. All the pups potty promptly when taken outside frequently, leading us to believe that they were well taken care of and handled nicely in their original home. They also enjoy playing with toys, nibbling on human toes, and tugging on clothes for attention followed by frequent naps. All of the puppies have received their first vaccines, been dewormed, and are healthy, chubby, and happy! Stay tuned for more updates.Have you checked out our YouTube channel? Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Trixie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Trixie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Trixie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Trixie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Trixie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
