About this Dog
We are excited to share that we are nominated for Sacramento's Animal Nonprofit Favorites this year! We need your help by voting every day for our cherished shepherds. Please vote daily from each device until August 15th at votesacramento.com. Look for us in the Service Category under Animal Nonprofits. Thank you for being our heroes!Meet our newest 3.5-month-old boy named Ridley! Ridley traveled with Pilots N Paws from the shelter to San Jose, where he is now living with a foster family that includes two resident shepherds to guide him. He was very relaxed when meeting them and even playful which has continued as he's settled in. He joins the resident dogs in outings on leash, he has met the extended families dogs easily and enjoys the puppy pile. And has shown us that he loves treats, balls and toys. Even learning to bob for treats and balls from the kiddie or should we say puppy pool with his friends. Ridley enjoys being around people, rides well in the car, and was calm in his crate during the flight. After his time on the streets and in the shelter, he received his necessary bath for a fresh start. Currently, he is a confident and relaxed little guy, weighing 25 lbs with a good appetite. He loves playing with his friends but is also content entertaining himself. His foster family is working on solidfying his potty cues and patterns and crate training. After spending a month at his rural shelter, Ridley was at risk due to the length of his stay and the shelter's capacity. We are incredibly grateful to our fosters who open their homes and hearts to help shepherds in need.As a foster-based rescue, ShepHeroes is always looking for more fosters. Many shepherds in our local shelters require assistance for a fresh start. Would you consider opening your home and sharing a part of your life to help these dogs find new families? You provide the love, and we will take care of everything else! Saying "yes" today truly saves a life. Please complete this https://www.shepheroes.org/foster-form, and we will be in touch as soon as possible. We appreciate your consideration.Ridley will thrive in an experienced forever home that is committed to providing him with ongoing environmental exposure, training, and structure, which shepherd puppies need to grow into well-adjusted adult dogs.Have you checked out our YouTube channel? Contribute to Ridley's Stash!

100% of Ridley's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Ridley.
Adopt Ridley and Receive Ridley's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Ridley's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Ridley's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Ridley, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Ridley's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Ridley was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Ridley’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Ridley’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Ridley’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
