About this Dog
We are excited to share that we have six adorable puppies, who are now eight weeks old. Among them are three girls and three boys! These sweet and beautiful puppies are settled and thriving in their respective foster homes. All have gained weight, showing us many shepherd traits in their stance, attachment to their people, head tilts and absolute charm. Let us introduce you to our little boy Beauford aka Beau, wearing a black collar! After a car ride from the shelter and baths for all six puppies, he is part of a pack of four resident shepherds, easily navigating around and through them and finding his space right next to his people. He loves being around humans and, as is typical for shepherds, stays close by, wanting to be part of the action. His favorite nap spot is right next to his person, and if he gets the chance to snuggle he promply takes naps. This precious boy with a plush coat is brave and quiet, except when he is in the crate, where he expresses his displeasure with vocalizations. He is learning to feel safe in the crate, as those sharp puppy teeth can cause trouble if left unsupervised. Beau now sleeps through the night with one potty break in the middle of the night when crated in the bedroom with his people at nights. Krinkly toys are his fave although balls are becoming interesting. Shoes are also magnetic for him as he prances through the house with his shoe treasures. Beau also had a blast playing with Looie during a play date since Looie's much closer to his size than the giant shepherds in his foster home. Beau's and Looie's video is under Looie's bio and also on our Youtube channel with the link at the end of this bio. Beau also loves to see if he can get the resident shepherds to play with him alternately sharing his wants with ankle bites, some sass and charm when he lays next to them. Beau recently spent a day with a back up foster when his foster family was going to be gone for a long stretch of a day, he charmed the entire family with his adaptability and friendliness. And shared his love of water, where he can fit himself into a water bowl to splash around. It's time for us to pull out the kiddie pool for Beau as a first step before introducing him to the big pool. All the puppies are quick to potty when taken outside, suggesting that they were well-cared for in their original home. Beau prefers to potty outside and is providing cues when he needs to head outside. They also enjoy playing with toys, nibbling on human toes, and tugging on clothes for attention, followed by plenty of naps. Each of the puppies has received their first vaccinations, been dewormed, and are healthy, happy, and a bit chubby! Beau's growing fast, he's gained 3 lbs in a little over a week. Beau will thrive in an experienced forever home committed to environmental exposure to continue the excellent foundation he's receiving in his foster home, ongoing training, and structure shepherd puppies need to grow into neutral adult dogs. 100% of Beauford's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Beauford.
Adopt Beauford and Receive Beauford's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Beauford's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Beauford's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Beauford, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Beauford's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Beauford was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Beauford’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Beauford’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Beauford’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
