About this Dog
Say hello to our new 3-month-old pups! Durbuy and Leuven just arrived in our care and headed to their foster homes via a ride with the volunteer pilots from Pilots and Paws. Their littermate Waterloo just needed a car ride for his foster home. Durbuy, who has earned the nickname Wrigley in his foster home, is the tan pup with those huge ears to grow into. A happy, exuberant puppy who adores treats, he's thrilled to earn them. A smart boy, he's already knows how to sit, down, with me and watch me. Potty and crate trained, he sometimes needs a quick potty break once a night. He loves other dogs, climbing on agility gear, and exploring the yard. Wrigley is wiggly and fun-loving. He's also learning to settle in his pen with minor cries, shifting easily to playing with his toys. Born to a lovely Mal mama who has already been adopted, we suspect he's a Mal/GSD mix.Although Wrigley was a bit shyer than Leuven aka Louie in public settings originally and preferred to be carried through the airport for his plane ride to his foster home. But on an outing with his foster family after settling in, he's been a rockstar. He's greeted dogs happily, is very friendly with people and dogs. And he completely ignores bikes, strollers that go by and even checked out some boats in the marina. After his excursions, Wrigley easily chills in the dog seat attached by a dog seat belt. He's a snuggle pro and working on learning the concept of fetch this week. Wrigley's living with one of our alum shepherds and a chihuahua mix ( both females) until he's adopted. These boys were born in the care of Foster & Paws, a rescue that focuses on dogs who end up in shelters while pregnant. Since their focus is not breed-specific to shepherd mixes, we agreed to bring the pups on board with our group. Have you checked out our YouTube channel?
