About this Dog
Stormy is a 4-year-old German Shepherd who needs a new home due to circumstances completely beyond her control. Her humans are going through a divorce, and unfortunately neither of our new living situations will allow us to keep her.
This has been a major change for Stormy as well, and our priority is finding her a safe, loving, permanent home where she can feel secure again.
Stormy is extremely loyal and protective of the people she loves. She has lived successfully with cats, other dogs, and children. She can experience some anxiety, particularly during stressful situations or changes, but she responds well to reassurance and can be calmed.
She is very healthy, spayed, and up to date on her vaccinations. I have her spay certificate and can provide her available veterinary information. Her next flea and tick preventative dose is due October 5 and is given every three months.
We are not looking to simply give Stormy away. We want to make sure she goes to someone who understands German Shepherds and will provide her with the stability, companionship, and love she deserves.
I will be unable to keep Stormy after September 2, when I move out of my current house and into an apartment.

How will Stormy receive the contribution?
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Stormy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family! Please begin the process of claiming Stormy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Stormy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Stormy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Stormy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Stormy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
