Cubby Bear and his sister Miss Demi were found by a passerby on the road in a box at the approximate age of 5 days. They went directly to one of our experienced "bottle baby raising" fosters. Their estimated DOB is October 11th, 2024. These puppies were raised in an experienced foster home since the age of approximately 5 days old and are now at our open boarding Facility. Cubby Bear is a very intelligent puppy, does pickup commands quite quickly, and will anything for a treat. But as he is part Lab, he also has a "Bull in a China shop" goofy deminer. He likes to play with toys and with his sister Miss Demi. He walks well on leash, once there's nothing around to knock over in his excitement. He has a very "happy go luck" and goofy personality. He definitely will benefit with continued training and in a home with an active family. As always, we do highly recommend positive reinforcement training to insure a well behaved and well-rounded puppy/dog. The adoption fee is $500 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed). For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Cubby Bear was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Cubby Bear’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Cubby Bear’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Cubby Bear’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
