About this Dog
Adoption fee: $800 Meet Whimsy – a delightfully silly and sweet 10–12 month old Poodle mix who weighs in at a dainty 15 lbs and has enough charm to fill the whole room. True to her name, Whimsy is full of playful spirit and cuddly affection. She starts her day promptly (breakfast must be served by 7am, thank you very much), followed by a walk and a burst of joyful toy time. Once she’s gotten her wiggles out, she’s perfectly content to nap beside you while you work or lounge with her head on your lap—whatever makes her feel close to her person. Whimsy came to her foster home a little unsure but has shown she’s a quick study. She plays independently, entertains herself with her toys, and even takes time to “remind” the birds on the fence that she’s in charge of backyard security. She’s also a world-class collector: socks, napkins, shoes— if it’s left unattended, it just might end up in Whimsy’s bed like a tiny, fluffy dragon hoard. She’s a great balance of energy and relaxation. Whether it’s a walk, a game of fetch, or some quality snuggle time, Whimsy’s ready for it all. She's not overly barky, but will chat with her reflection in the mirror or glass (she’s still figuring out that that other poodle is… her). She enjoys playing with her older Shih Tzu foster sibling and would do well with another friendly dog in the home. She hasn’t met cats or young kids, but older, respectful children would likely be a great match—just maybe not toddlers, as she still gets excited and might jump. Whimsy is almost fully house trained and is crate trained for bedtime. In short, Whimsy is a fun, affectionate, funny little pup who’s ready to be your shadow, your playmate, your cuddle buddy—and maybe your sock thief, too. If you're looking for a companion who brings joy, energy, and a whole lot of personality, Whimsy might just be your perfect match.

Adopt Whimsy and Receive Whimsy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Whimsy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Whimsy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Whimsy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Whimsy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Whimsy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Whimsy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Whimsy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Whimsy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
