About this Dog
Adoption fee: $800 Meet Annabelle – Small in Size, Big in Personality Annabelle is a 10-12 month old, seven pound Maltipoo who has made an incredible transformation since her rescue from the shelter. Once scared and shut down, this little girl has found her spark— and now she’s ready to find her forever home. Annabelle starts her day with a potty break, followed by breakfast and a walk. From there, it’s a mix of playing, lounging, and joining her foster on errands or outings. She winds down with dinner and snuggles, then tucks in for the night. Playful, curious, and full of quirky charm, Annabelle is equally happy chasing toys or curling up on the couch for cuddles. She’s still a puppy at heart and loves chewing on soft things (pillows, cords, socks, even fingers during play). She’s working on fetch and making great progress. She loves toys and seeks them out first thing in the morning. Annabelle is a world-class snuggler and a bit of a velcro dog, often following her foster from room to room. That said, she’s comfortable staying home in her crate and settles in once her person leaves. She enjoys walking and is good on leash, though she still weaves a bit and pauses to take in new sounds. She doesn’t pull or bark at other dogs and generally wants to say hello. She’s housetrained as long as she’s kept on a schedule and can hold it overnight like a pro. Annabelle is very dog-social with pups her size and energy level. She's been playful and sweet with the right canine friends. With people, she’s more selective— she may bark, growl, or even snap if approached too quickly. She’s especially wary of strangers and needs slow, thoughtful introductions. Because of this, she’s not a fit for homes with young kids or very busy environments. But once she trusts you, she’s deeply loyal and affectionate. She would do well as an only dog or with a playful sibling. She needs someone patient and committed to continued socialization and training— and someone who won’t let her cuteness lead to too many “aww, let me pet her” moments before she’s ready. Annabelle is fast, smart, funny, and deeply endearing. Whether she’s racing joyfully down the hallway after a walk or curling up on your shoes at the door, she’ll steal your heart with every head tilt and happy bounce.

Adopt Annabelle and Receive Annabelle's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Annabelle's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Annabelle's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Annabelle, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Annabelle's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Annabelle was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Annabelle’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Annabelle’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Annabelle’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
