About this Cat
Meet Fuschia! This fluffy cutie came into the Shelter with a sever fracture to her right front leg. Surgery was performed to amputate her leg on 7/10. She is recovering beautifully from her surgery and is almost ready to get back to living a normal housecat life now that she is no longer walking on a painful leg. While she can play, cuddle, and use the litterbox like any other cat, it is essential that she is housed INDOORS ONLY for the rest of her life as she is not able to escape dangers such as cars, dogs, and coyotes, as well as a cat with all 4 legs. She does not need any other special activity restrictions at this time, though he will take some time getting used to a new way of walking, zooming, and playing in a larger space.Fuschia has been a little nervous but has made great strides in learning the world is not scary. She is looking for a patient adopter that will continue to work with her on confidence building and feeling safe as she transitions to her adoptive home. Her adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund â a fund that draws adopters eyes towards often overlooked black cats in Shelters. Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

Adopt FUSCHIA* and Receive FUSCHIA*'s Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, FUSCHIA*'s new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is FUSCHIA*'s current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the FUSCHIA*, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming FUSCHIA*'s contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and FUSCHIA* was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, FUSCHIA*’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the FUSCHIA*’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, FUSCHIA*’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
