About this Dog
Meet Eventually! This chihuahua is part of what seems to be a multi-generational clan with 5 other âfriendsâ in tow. A good Samaritan found them all in a wire crate on the side of the road, with no one around claiming ownership. They loaded the crate into their pickup and brought them to us. Upon arrival to the Shelter, Eventually and his companions were understandably fearful and shell-shocked - barky and terrified. Over the period of a week, they calmed down and their sweet personalities started to blossom. Eventually is still perfecting life skills and manners such as potty training and leash walking. He is looking for a dog savvy adopter to help him transition to his adoptive home. Patience, a quiet environment and positive reinforcement based training will be key in Eventuallyâs success in his next home. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter Foundation provides a voucher worth $200 with a local certified positive reinforcement trainer, included with every dog or puppy adoption. Now through July 19th, adoption fees are reduced to $70 thanks to the BISSEL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelter event! Please note: Our Santa Cruz locationâs Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end âmeet and greetsâ (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If youâd like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

100% of EVENTUALLY*'s balance will be sent to whoever adopts EVENTUALLY*.
Adopt EVENTUALLY* and Receive EVENTUALLY*'s Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, EVENTUALLY*'s new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is EVENTUALLY*'s current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the EVENTUALLY*, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming EVENTUALLY*'s contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and EVENTUALLY* was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, EVENTUALLY*’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the EVENTUALLY*’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, EVENTUALLY*’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
