About this Cat
Petey and Nala belong to my son. I agreed to care for them while he looked for a new job. He has a new job but is now living in Arizona with his partner who is allergic to cats. I can no longer care for them as I have two cats of my own and they do NOT get along. I've tried everything I know to integrate them but I cannot leave them alone so I have put them on one side of the house. They need a new home and have been together since they were kittens. They are both very affectionate and loving cats but, at my age, it's tough enough caring for my two cats let alone all four. I don't want to give them to a shelter because I know what will happen. Happy to pay a reasonable fee to give them up. Please help if you can. Thank you, J. Fentis

How will Petey receive the contribution?

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Petey was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Petey’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
What happens to unclaimed funds?
We want the Petey’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Petey’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
