About this Dog
Sammy is a giant ball of love searching for his forever family. He is an 8-month-old Labrador mix puppy who weighs 77 pounds of sweetness. Don’t let his large size fool you—Sammy is a gentle dog and truly as good as it gets! He wants nothing more than to be with his loved ones. He will sit on your feet while you're at the computer or cuddle with you on the couch if allowed. At night, he happily sleeps on the floor of your bedroom. Sammy is an excellent listener and knows commands such as "come," "sit," and "leave it." He enjoys his training sessions with the Woofs app. When it comes to treats, he is very gentle, whether he's receiving training treats or bully sticks, and he prefers gentle playtime with his toys over rough games like tug-of-war. Sammy is potty-trained and can use a doggy door. He rarely barks, only occasionally when he hears a plane overhead. He is great on a leash, does not pull, and walks at a good pace. Sammy has moderate energy due to having hip surgery at 4.5 months, but he is recovering well. He enjoys 2-3 short walks each day and is gradually working up to longer ones, as advised by the vet. When meeting both small and large dogs on leash during neighborhood walks, Sammy has had only positive interactions. He whimpers in excitement when he encounters other dogs because he wants to play! One of his favorite activities is playing with a soccer ball. He would thrive as a primarily indoor dog with access to a yard where he can explore, potty, and play. Sammy waits patiently for his food and eats slowly; he is definitely motivated by toys! If he finds something he shouldn't have, he gives it up easily and is easily redirected. With his adorable Staffie-like face and turned-up nose, Sammy resembles a cute seal. He is the sweetest and gentlest boy who thinks he’s a lap dog. He truly has a heart of gold and is an affectionate love bug. Sammy adores every person he meets—neighbors, workers, gardeners, and anyone who gives him positive attention. If you're interested in adopting Sammy, please fill out an application at www.doggiebonez.com. Adopt Sammy and Receive Sammy's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sammy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sammy's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sammy, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sammy's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sammy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sammy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sammy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sammy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
