Buttercup is a gentle soul with a sweet heart and a playful spark. This mellow little girl is the perfect balance of independent and affectionate—she loves to play with her toys and her sister, Skipper, but when the evening winds down, you'll often find her curled up in your lap or stretched out nearby on the couch or cat tree. She’s a quiet girl who thrives on affection from her humans. Buttercup will happily walk between your legs, hop up to say hello, and sprawl across you when it’s cuddle time. While she can be a bit shy around new people at first, once she warms up, she’s all in for love and snuggles. Buttercup is great with other cats and enjoys the company of her siblings—but dogs? Not so much. She would prefer a home without them. She’d do well in a home looking for a playful companion (she’ll definitely get her one hour a day of zoomies in!) but also one who appreciates a mellow, snuggly evening friend. If you're looking for a soft, affectionate, and playful kitten who wants to be near you but doesn’t demand constant attention, Buttercup could be your perfect match! Prior to adoption, all kittens are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buttercup (bonded w/ Skipper) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buttercup (bonded w/ Skipper)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Buttercup (bonded w/ Skipper)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buttercup (bonded w/ Skipper)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
