Boots is a tender-hearted little guy who’s learning to embrace his brave side. While he may still be a bit cautious when approached for pets, he’s steadily warming up and showing his sweet, cuddly nature. His favorite spot to sleep? Snuggled up right against your legs or as the perfect little spoon with his sister, Linty (who prefers to perch on top of you, purring away). Boots is a champion eater and takes his meals seriously, often finishing his portion of wet food long before Linty has made it halfway through hers. His purr is softer and more subtle, but with a little coaxing, it’s music to your ears. Playtime is where Boots truly shines—he loves all toys, but wand toys with feathers are his absolute favorite! Fluffy balls and soft toy mice come in a close second. He’s also a bit of a diplomat when it comes to making friends with adult cats. Boots will approach them with a playful or submissive posture, which is usually met with polite indifference, but it’s undeniably adorable to watch. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Little Boots was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Little Boots’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Little Boots’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Little Boots’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
