About this Dog
07/21/25 07:52What did we do on todayâs adventure:Bran got picked up and headed to Willow Glen, where he walked around neighborhoods and a park trail. He got a pup cup from Starbucks and enjoyed some people watching before returning to the shelter. What should potential adopters know about me:Bran did really well on his walk. He was easy to handle around people and cars, was interested in other dogs but redirected his attention quickly and easily. He started pretty excited but settled invery quickly.06/15/25 08:11What did we do on todayâs adventure:Today was amazing. Like, tail-wagging, nose-to-the-ground, ears-up amazing. I knew I was going on an adventure with my new human friend as soon as I saw the car. I hopped right in like a champ. The windows were cracked during the ride, and I loved ALL the sniffs rushing in. I like riding in the car and just staring out the window. Then we got out to hike on five miles of pure nose ecstasy. I sniffed everything. Holes? Sniffed. Bushes? Sniffed. Trees? You better believe I sniffed. I pulled a little when I got a hot scent, but the human distracted me with treats â yes, those are more important. I didnât mind the other humans running or cycling or walking - I just was focused on finding squirrels. We passed a bunch of other dogsâsome cool, some suspicious. I only barked at one of them, but no drama. I handled myself like a gentleman. But then...horses. FOUR of them. I donât even know what I was looking at. Giant dogs? Very suspicious deer? I just stood there, eyes popping out of my head, trying to process what I was seeing. I didnât bark though. I was too confused. When we finally got back to the car, I gave a few thank-you kisses, and then collapsed in the backseat. My paws were tired, my nose was full of stories, and my tail was content. Rating for today: 11/10. Would sniff again. What should potential adopters know about me:Bran is great on leash. 7/10 - the only time he pulled was to try to chase squirrels, but he can be easily lured with a treat or just a verbal command; he responds quickly to the person on the other end of the leash. He would excel in a basic obedience course. He was not reactive with joggers, bikers, walkers, and most other dogs. He only reacted to one dog of the dozen or so that we passed, but it was quick and easy to distract him and keep moving. Heâs a very sweet pup and will stick close to your side (unless he sees a squirrel). He isvery easy to manage and would make a wonderful loving companion! I got to ride in the car and liked sticking my nose out the window to smell the breeze. We went for a longwalk and I got to sniff everything, I liked checking out all the squirrel holes in hopes of finding one. I LOVE treats and showed off my sit for lots of yummy ones. I also got lots of butt scratches during breaks which are thebest. I even got a pupcup at the end of our walk â yum! What should potential adopters know about me: Bran was a totalgentleman and did great on his first Trails & Tails walk! He was easy to getharnessed up and was excited to get going. He had no problem hopping inthe car and was good for the drive (though he does like to stand on thecenter console and help navigate if you let him). He is a sniffy boy andenjoyed checking out all the new smells. He has good leash manners anddoes not really pull. He was non-reactive to other people, bikes, cars etc. Inthe shelter environment he can be reactive, but on the trail he was verygood about not engaging with other dogs and passing politely, he only reacted to one dog we passed. Bran is also very treat motivated and can beeasily distracted with treats, he already knows sit and is happy to show itoff for treats. He loves butt scratches and will lean in for some duringbreaks. He was interested in the birds and squirrels we saw (but again easilydistracted with treats). Bran is a lovely boy who make a wonderful walkingand snuggling buddy.Three words to describe me: Curious, Polite, Friendly

100% of BRAN's balance will be sent to whoever adopts BRAN.
Adopt BRAN and Receive BRAN's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, BRAN's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is BRAN's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the BRAN, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming BRAN's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and BRAN was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, BRAN’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the BRAN’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, BRAN’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
