07/21/25 07:36What did we do on todayâs adventure:Tanner and I spent the morning exploring the shady streets of Willow Glen, taking in the sights downtown and stopping by a doggy store where he carefully inspected all the treat options. We paused at a park so Tanner could sprawl out in the grass, happily observing the world around him. He did great on leash and thoroughly enjoyed sniffing every new scent along the way. Car rides arenât his favorite, but with some reassurance, Tanner hopped in and handled it like a champ.What should potential adopters know about me:Tanner has been waiting at the shelter for nearly four months, and heâs ready for an active home that can match his adventurous spirit. Heâs incredibly dog-social and a play group all-star, especially with his best buddy Milo (whoâs also lookingfor a home!). Tanner loves greeting other dogs on walks and would be thrilled to have a dog sibling to share his adventures with. Tanner walks nicely on leash, knows how to sit, and is well-socialized. While he will need some time to adjust to home life, with patience and love, Tanner will blossom into a loyal, joyful companion. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and TANNER was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, TANNER’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the TANNER’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, TANNER’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
