About this Cat
Monty: Gentle Giant, Playtime Pro, and Devoted Big Brother Hey there, I’m Monty—a sweet, chunky, playful guy with a heart as big as my paws. I may take a little time to warm up, but once I trust you? I’m all in for head rubs, cheek scratches, and especially brush time (which I might try to turn into playtime—brushes are just sneaky toys, right?). I was rescued in partnership with ACT Spay Neuter Clinic in Stockton, and I'm currently living the good life in San Francisco while I search for my forever home. From the moment I stepped out of my crate, I’ve been brave and curious—ready to explore, snack, and zoom my way around the house. I love feathers, toy mice, and running around with my best buddy Nora. We’re not a bonded pair, but we’re a great duo. She’s my tiny shadow, and I’m her loyal protector. If she meows, I come running to check on her. What can I say? Big brother instincts. I’m a very talkative guy with a gentle soul. I don’t love dogs (I mean… they’re loud!), but I don’t panic either. I’ll assess the situation like a true professional. I’m not a climber—I like keeping my paws on solid ground—but I do love to explore my surroundings and see what’s going on. I’m a FIP survivor, and proud of it. After treatment, I’ve been healthy, active, and full of energy. I beat the odds, and now I’m ready to spend the rest of my nine lives snuggling, playing, and eating snacks in a loving home. I’m a gentleman at mealtime, and would love to live with another cat friend. (Nora and I are available separately, but if you’re looking for a dream team—we’ve got you covered.) Available for adoption in San Francisco.Follow me and Nora at @montyandnora Please note:Indoor only For more information & an online application go to https://www.givemesheltersf.org/adoption/cat.php?id=12301&ts=1754420618&src=rg

Adopt Monty and Receive Monty's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Monty's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Monty's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Monty, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Monty's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Monty was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Monty’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Monty’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Monty’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
