Pitbull mix is looking for a loving forever home. Buddy was a stray living in the streets of Tijuana, charming all the neighborhood children. The child of a friend who lives in the neighborhood was very drawn to Buddy and wanted to adopt him, but their family already had so many dogs! So the family begged the rescue to take him off the streets into boarding. Buddy is currently living in a kennel outdoors in Tijuana, but he can be transported as far north as Los Angeles for the right adopter. Buddy has a serious, soulful face, but don’t let that fool you—once you play with him and show him some love, he lights up with joy. He’s leash trained, great meeting new people, and friendly with kids when introduced properly. He loves to play, has plenty of energy, and enjoys toys of all kinds. He gets along well with other dogs, isn’t territorial or skittish, and has a docile, affectionate side that loves to be pampered. Buddy will thrive with an adopter who can give him structure and guidance—he’ll need some basic obedience training, but he’s eager to please and ready to learn. Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Buddy's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Buddy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Buddy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Buddy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Buddy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
