About this Dog
Forever home wanted for an amazing pup new to the Labradors and Friends (Friends division) Dog Rescue. We'd like to introduce you to Louie! Louie was listed as a 10 month old pug at the shelter when he was brought to our attention. We're not sure what he's mixed with other than sweetness, fun, happiness, just the right amount of energy and wonderful manners! On intake the shelter staff said he was easy to work with, friendly, happy, lots of tail wags and energetic. Not all families that have to give up their pets are bad owners and that happens to be the case with Louie. It is easy to see he was clearly loved as a member of the family, they put time into training him and making him a wonderful family pet. Louie was brought to the shelter on June 24th. Fast forward a few weeks and Louie would find himself in trouble, at risk for euthanasia for the simplest thing. Louie's kennel mate exhibited signs of ringworm so since he was exposed, he was marked with a deadline date of July 20 at 2 PM. As it would end up, the kennel mate tested negative for ringworm but they never changed Louie's status. It was a very close call. Luckily a foster came forward and Louie got his freedom ride out of the shelter and back into a home environment. The foster raves about what a wonderful pup he is. He knows some basic commands, crate trained and immediately engaged in play with the foster's other dogs. If Louie sounds like a pup you'd be interested in meeting, please fill out an application at labradorsandfriends.org. Louie is located in Southern California.

Adopt Louie and Receive Louie's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Louie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Louie's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Louie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Louie's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Louie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Louie’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Louie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Louie’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
