About this Dog
Male German Shepherd Dog. Gets along with other dogs. Here's the thing about this really smart, handsome, smart, gorgeous, smart GSD: He's smart. He can also be stubborn. He's like a teenage boy in the body of a GSD. Gunner is just about the most well trained dog in our rescue. He's been working on his obedience game for over a year and knows all of the tricks. He has a relationship with certain volunteers in which he understands they are the leaders and he is the follower. Once you achieve that relationship with him, he's just about the most fun canine companion in the world! But, and here's the but, you don't have that relationship with him yet. As smart as he is, he's not a well oiled machine who is the same dog with different people. He is going to be a dream dog for someone who likes to work their dogs, but he is going to be a handful for someone who doesn't. Gunner is your typical working dog with lots of energy who is smart as a whip, loves to run and play, and adores his people. He craves work, loves a job, and would probably enjoy agility. He's adorable, loving, affectionate, playful, and needs a home with GSD/working dog experience or he will take the lead position and become overly protective. If you're looking for a smart puppy who would love to be part of an active home, Gunner is your boy! Please visit http://www.coastalk9gsrsd.org/to learn more about our dogs. Click on available dogs to see further descriptions. If you are interested in me, please contact us at [email protected] or call (858) 779-9149. Don't forget to fill out our online application. The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers. We show our dogs at adoption events every weekend! Check our our website to see where we'll be next! Coastal German Shepherd Rescue of Southern California is a non-profit 501(c)3 public charity dedicated to finding loving homes for abandoned German Shepherds. Adopt Gunner II and Receive Gunner II's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gunner II's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Gunner II's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Gunner II, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gunner II's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gunner II was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gunner II’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gunner II’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gunner II’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
