Meet Klara! She is a 5 year old, 10 pound chihuahua mix. She truly embodies the phrase "good things come to those who wait." This sweet girl takes time, patience, and love to trust you, but once she does, she becomes the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. While Klara can be skittish around other people and dogs on walks, she absolutely loves her daily outings and has the most adorable way of prancing around. She's fully potty trained and crate trained, making the transition to your home smooth and easy. What Klara wants most is simply to be near you – whether that's on the couch, in your arms, or just lying nearby on the floor. She doesn't ask for much except your presence and patience as she learns to open her heart. Klara is dog selective and can be territorial about her food and likes to be the center of your attention, so will need a slow introduction to other pets in the home. She is also quite scared of men and will do best in a female only home. If you're looking for a devoted companion who will treasure every moment by your side, Klara might be the perfect match for you. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Klara was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Klara’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Klara’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Klara’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
