About this Dog
We found Benny in October 2021 walking downtown San Diego with a belt around his neck, covered in fleas, and very emaciated. He didn't have a microchip and we were never able to find who originally owned him. We've since had him neutered, caught him up with his shots, cleaned and fed him with as much love as we can but we don't have a good place for him to really live and be happy, but we took him in because all the non-kill shelters were and are full and we don't want to put him down. He's been both potty and leash trained. When he went to training school the trainer told us even when other dogs tried to fight him he wouldn't fight back and wanted to be friends with every dog and person and this has been our experience with him as well. He is the sweetest dog and we really hope to find him a home! :)

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Bonsai Benny's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Bonsai Benny was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Bonsai Benny’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
