About this Cat
Preston $225.00 Est DOB 2013 Preston had lived a charmed life for 12 years along with his brother Tom. Sadly his mom passed away and the family decided the cats needed to go. Prior to coming into our Lapcats program we required they see a veterinarian and Tom was in bad shape. Unfortunately, the veterinarian recommended humane euthanasia and now Tom is with him mom…. Preston had unremarkable, bloodwork, and is very healthy. He is currently being fostered and even though it has only been a few short weeks, he has settled in perfectly like he has been there forever. Here’s what we know about this distinguished gentleman. Preston is a very outgoing and loving cat. He’s very independent, a sweet boy with a soft meow. He definitely loves his treats, cat nip, and food! He is 17 1/2 pounds of pure love! He should probably drop a few LBS and ration the treats. He can be picked up, but proper lifting technique is recommended!! Even at 12 years young, he loves to play and enjoys belly rubs and a good shoulder rub which will start his motor running with a soft purr. Some of his favorite toys are the feather toy and the laser light. He’s a perfect couch cat who will spend hours laying on a heating pad and sleeping with his OWN personal pillow at night! Looking out the window and watching the birds is a favorite pastime and enjoys watching TV. Preston is ready to spend the rest of his golden years in the company of a worthy family that knows what “forever” truly means. The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org. All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag!

Adopt Preston and Receive Preston's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Preston's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Preston's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Preston, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Preston's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Preston was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Preston’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Preston’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Preston’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
