Anastasia Est. DOB 7/2024 Adoption fee: $250 Anastasia was recently rescued by two LapCats volunteers after she was posted online living in a busy shopping center. To their surprise, she also had three older kittens hidden away with her in some drain pipes! After talking with several people and gathering more information, we now know that Anastasia previously belonged to a homeless person who left her behind when they moved. After months of surviving in a canal and doing everything she could to care for her kittens, Anastasia is finally learning what it means to feel safe and loved. No more wondering where her next meal will come from or how she’ll protect her babies—those hard days are behind her. Now? She’s living the good life with a room (and bed!) all to herself, and she’s absolutely loving it. She enjoys sitting by the window watching the world go by and even checks herself out in the mirror—because yes, she knows she’s stunning. Anastasia is affectionate, confident, and not the least bit shy. She loves attention, purrs like a little motor, and happily curls up beside you, on your lap, your belly—or even your back! One night she slept peacefully between her foster’s legs, just happy to be close. She’s adjusting beautifully and becoming more comfortable every day. If you’re looking for a sweet, resilient companion who’s ready to be someone’s baby now that her mothering days are done—Anastasia is your girl. ? The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org. All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag! We do not do out of state adoptions for the safety of our cats.

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Anastasia's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Anastasia was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Anastasia’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Anastasia’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Anastasia’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
