About this Cat
My name is Mittens and Iâm a feisty, spunky girl that loves to run and play. My initial response to new people and places might be to shy away and even give you hiss. But itâs all for show. Iâm really quite sweet once I get to know you. Iâm eating Hills Science Diet dry kitten food, and use the litter box like a champ. My foster mom uses lots of words to describe me: crazy fast speed demon, energetic, curious, diva-licious, purr monster. If somebody sneaks up on my, I get startled and you guessed itâ¦.I hiss. Then I remember that I like you, and start playing again. Thatâs mostly for the other fosters that try to tackle me though. Iâm pretty easy to redirect. But if Iâm being honest Iâm not a fan of bedtime cause girls just wanna have fun! Am I right?! I like to explore and chase wand toys. It once all my energy is played out, Iâm the sweetest girl according to my foster mom.I like to stir things up with the resident cats and other fosters and then do the fake cry when they turn it back on me. I really should have been in Hollywood. Iâd do great in a forever home with either a tolerant cat (and humans) or a kitten who can match my energy and tolerate my fake party foul calls. I might be a little too high energy for younger kids, but with proper introductions and supervision, Iâm sure things would be ok. Just keep my nails trimmedâ¦which Iâm not a huge fan ofâ¦.As long as I know where the litter box is, Iâm gonna use it. My foster mom insisted on potty manners!
Contribute to MITTENS's Stash!

100% of MITTENS's balance will be sent to whoever adopts MITTENS.
Adopt MITTENS and Receive MITTENS's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, MITTENS's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is MITTENS's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the MITTENS, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming MITTENS's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and MITTENS was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, MITTENS’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the MITTENS’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, MITTENS’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
