Greta & Duke Est. DOB 7/2024 Adoption fee: $450 for the pair Greta came to LapCats with her mom and her two brothers Stewart and Duke. Stewart and mom have been adopted and now it’s Greta and Dukes turn! She is a petite, precious little peanut, who loves to hunt flies! Sweet, playful, young and smart girl, she loves to wrestle her toys, climb her cat tree, romp and play with the Ripple Rug, and play with her brother Duke. They are a bonded pair and can often times be found cuddled together, grooming each other, and playing rough and tumble pounce games. Duke is the more outgoing and gregarious one and Greta is an observer. She absolutely loves being held and brushed. She’s obsessed with catnip and spring toys and carries them in her mouth like a dog! Once Greta is acclimated in her new environment, she’ll chat with you, play with her favorite toys, keep you entertained for hours, and did I mention, she’s a GREAT fly hunter!! lol! The first step in our adoption process is the application which can be found on our website lapcats.org. All of our cats have tested negative for FELV and are fully vaccinated. They have not only been spayed or neutered but have also been treated for worms, fleas, and have been micro chipped. We will register their microchip for you, provide you with a free exam visit to a participating Sacramento veterinarian, and a goodie bag!

Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Greta and Duke (bonded pair)'s new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.

For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Greta and Duke (bonded pair) was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Greta and Duke (bonded pair)’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Greta and Duke (bonded pair)’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Greta and Duke (bonded pair)’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
