Meet Jake and Poppy – A Bonded Senior Pair Jake and Poppy are a devoted duo of approximately 15 years young who have spent their entire lives together — and we’re committed to keeping them that way. These two came to us after the passing of their beloved owner, and now they’re looking for a new forever home to live out their golden years in comfort and love. Jake is our big, handsome grey boy who came in weighing 22 pounds and is now down to a healthier 19 (go, Jake!). He’s still working on shedding a few more pounds, but he's well on his way. His sister Poppy is petite and dainty, providing the perfect contrast to her brother’s larger frame. Both Jake and Poppy are incredibly friendly, affectionate, and people-loving. They’re in good health, and despite their age, still have plenty of love and companionship to offer. They’d thrive in a calm, cozy home where Jake can continue his weight-loss journey with gentle encouragement, and both can enjoy the comfort of soft beds, sunny windows, and loving humans. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Jake & Poppy was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Jake & Poppy’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Jake & Poppy’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Jake & Poppy’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
