About this Dog
Kai is a 17 month old Rottie/labrador mix. Her mom was a purebred Rottweiler. We have done DNA on her. Kai is a sweet, goofy girl. Fun, athletic, affectionate and friendly. Kai seems to do best with women, as she’s become weary of some men. However, her first adoption was to a single young gentleman, who was surprised and shocked to learn she had trouble in a home with another male. I feel it fair to include Kai was returned because of a job change that took her dad to traveling multiple days a week. He had never experienced anything of the sort. Of course that makes it tough, because we have introduced her to men without issue quite frequently, but it seems once she leaves the rescue, she decides its her job to protect the women in the home. (So weird) In time I think she could absolutely learn to trust. She is spayed, vaccinated and chipped. She’s a great dog, she just needs somebody willing to take a chance on her. She’s so deserving of love. When she is met by other people she is a dog who people are shocked is still with us, as are we. Kai has never been a threat to anybody, she has never bit anybody. But she does and has grumbled and growled under her breath. We too are trying to make sense of it, because she is overly friendly to most other people. We do not blame her for her sensitivity to energy. Maybe she sees something we don’t. We know her family is out there and we will do what we can to make sure we find the right one. She’s a gem, a sweetheart…. She is housebroken, great on a leash, crate trained and incredibly affectionate.

Adopt Kai-ling and Receive Kai-ling's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Kai-ling's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Kai-ling's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Kai-ling, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Kai-ling's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Kai-ling was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Kai-ling’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Kai-ling’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Kai-ling’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
