About this Dog
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Gracie! Gracie's journey began several years ago when she was running scared with her daughter who was hit and killed on the freeway. Gracie covered a lot of ground, hopped some freeways looking for her kid, visited a university, and jumped into a yard where someone ignored her until she could be caught. She was scared and scarred. Her skin showed years of neglect with flea rash and irritation. Gracie was underweight and terrified of being touched or around people. No one came for her at the shelter and she was deemed unadoptable. Once Gracie was exited from the shelter by the team of volunteers who humanely trapped her, it did not take long before she realized her life had changed and people meant food, massage and toys! She has spent the last FOUR 1/2 years living in a kennel at the rescue facility. She is not good with dogs but is great with people, adventures outdoors, on leash AND house trained. Gracie is infatuated with treats and anyone on the end of her leash. She adores attention and loves people. Her time at events is spent lounging or sitting at the feet of her handler focused on them. No longer a youngster, 7 year old Gracie is now a senior girl and weighs 60 lbs. She would love nothing more than to find a place to enjoy the creature comforts in a foster or adoptive home rather than limited time with volunteers and at rescue outings. Could that be you? Other things to know about Gracie: she LOVES toys, including Nylabones and food puzzles! She does not resource guard and is easily handled or approached around food, toys or treats. Don’t let her age fool you, this girl has energy for days and is very spry. She walks well on leash, until a lizard or animal walks by then off to the races she goes! A tight grip on the leash is a must on adventures. Because Gracie is a flight risk, she cannot be left unattended in a yard, and crate training is a must when you are gone. The extra effort necessary to keep her safe is worth it to love and be loved by Gracie! Adopt Gracie and Receive Dogecoin
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Gracie's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised. Dogecoin is digital currency that can be exchanged for cash, traded, or held as an investment (see the "What is Dogecoin" section below).
0.0 DOGE is Gracie's current Dogecoin balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. If you adopted the Gracie, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Gracie's Dogecoin here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the Dogecoin by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the Dogecoin. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gracie was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gracie’s Dogecoin balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.

We want the Gracie’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gracie’s balance will remain in our general Dogecoin fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
