About this Dog
*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Sky! Sky is an 8.5 yr. old cattle dog/blue heeler. She is super loving and wants nothing more than to be next to the person who loves her. Unfortunately, Sky must be rehomed due to a divorce wherein neither party cannot provide responsible care. She deserves a loving home for her golden years where she will be pampered and adored. In return, Sky will be your devoted best friend! Sky is accustomed to living with another dog and would enjoy having a canine sibling again. However, she is not good with cats. Sky is not food aggressive and is very tolerant to humans around her during mealtime. However, she needs her own space to eat away from other faster-eating dogs who might try to take her food. Sky would benefit from some extra TLC in her new home. She has been diagnosed with hypoalbuminemia, which is a protein metabolizing deficiency. To manage this condition, she is on Prednisone and eats high protein puppy food. Prior to this condition being diagnosed correctly, she was underfed, and as a result, lost considerable weight. Her new family will need to be committed to helping Sky regain weight and strength. Then, they will see how much she enjoys going on long walks and playing fetch! If you have a spot in your heart for beautiful Sky, please contact Alison at 619-669-5462 or [email protected] *Frosted Faces Foundation has not assessed this dog medically or behaviorally.*
Contribute to Sky's Stash!

100% of Sky's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Sky.
Adopt Sky and Receive Sky's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Sky's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Sky's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Sky, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Sky's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Sky was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Sky’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Sky’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Sky’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
