UpdateGohan was found on the streets and brought to the shelter.. Thank goodness for the microchip. I was able to re rescue him when we did.He was in horrible shape. He saw the vet and said he had some. Type of chemical burns on his body. We are happy to report that his hair is growing back and one of his eyes. Yeah, he'll never see 100 percent from one of his eyes, but that does not stop him and his loving demeanor.Owner was no longer able to keep her fur baby. Long work hours and no longer had the time to care for him the way he deserves. Gohan is timid at first, though very sweet. He loves to be held and going for walks. We want him to have a family who will love him forever!The first step in adopting an animal is to fill out the application. All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, dewormed, and are treated with advantix for fleas and ticks. For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Gohan was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Gohan’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Gohan’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Gohan’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org.
