About this Dog
Meet Chata, a sweet and soulful 8-year-old pittie mix with a gentle heart and a nose for adventure. Weighing 62 pounds, this calm, independent lady has clearly seen a lot in her life, but she’s still got plenty of love to give. Chata is a low-key gal who enjoys sniffy strolls, lounging in the sun, and quiet company. Outside, she walks well on leash, though she’ll let you know when she’s found a spot she likes, especially if it means avoiding heading back inside! She’s gentle with treats, and happy to hang out near you without being overly clingy. She’s also a pro at car rides and was perfectly polite around dogs, people, and even a feisty off-leash pup on a recent field trip. Chata has a few medical needs typical of a senior dog, including some dental issues and a skin mass on her foot, which causes a slight limp. It’s not slowing her down, but it should be monitored by her future vet. If you’re looking for a mellow, dignified companion with a soft spot for the outdoors and a heart full of quiet affection, Chata might just be your match! Contribute to Chata's Stash!

100% of Chata's balance will be sent to whoever adopts Chata.
Adopt Chata and Receive Chata's Fund
Adopting a pet can be expensive, and we're trying to help by fundraising for each individual in need of adoption. After verifying the adoption, Chata's new family will receive the funds that their pet has raised.
$0.0 is Chata's current balance
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. If you adopted the Chata, thank you for providing a home and a loving family!
Please begin the process of claiming Chata's contribution here.
For adoptions in which nokillnetwork.org was the matchmaker and we have contact information for both parties, we make every effort to contact the adopting family. For adoptions that were not facilitated by nokillnetwork.org, we still encourage the adopting family to claim the contribution by submitting the necessary information.
The adopting family is the only party eligible to receive the contribution. The adopting family will be required to provide proof of adoption between 4-6 weeks after adoption. This is to ensure that the home is a good match and Chata was not returned. After we have verified the adoption, Chata’s balance will be sent to the adopting family. Our staff provides instructions and help throughout this process.
We want the Chata’s balance to go to the adopting family as a way to say thank you for providing a loving home and to help with pet care expenses. In the unfortunate event we cannot contact them and verify the adoption, Chata’s balance will remain in our general fund. This fund may be used to match contributions made to other adoptable pets, incentify other adoption-related actions, promote our mission, or support the operating expenses of nokillnetwork.org. If you would like to make a direct contribution to nokillnetwork.org to help us help other pets in need, you can go here. We appreciate your generosity and help!
